3. WHAT ARE SOME BEST PRACTICES TO IMPROVE MY RESULTS?
Share your principles and values
Put the leader on camera before the clip to build trust and show transparency.
If you are on camera, remember that shorter is always better. The best results are if you are on camera for less than 30 seconds.
Assume that the audience has never seen the movie before. Introduce the movie and the clip. Information about each is available under clip selection.
Be clear about what message you want your audience to focus on.
Send out clips at least once per week.
Use the subject line to drive interest and open rates, e.g. “See how courageous Tom Hanks is in Apollo 13.”
Change the leader on video once in a while.
Use an employee of the week/month to be the host.
Have a theme of the month and use our related themes.
Use the “Trimmer” to shorten the clips. Shorter is better.
Ask open ended questions to get the conversation started.
Use the advanced search options to narrow in on specific clips.
Send out clips based on the demographics of your viewers.
Think about what you want your audience thinking and feeling before you send out the clip experience.
Be explicit about any action steps you want your viewers to take.
Use the MovieComm leader metrics reports to measure engagement.
Compare who’s watching to performance.
Use the Micro Clips
Watch the Use Case Videos on our website.
4. WHO IS A LEADER?
Anyone who is looking to change, drive or influence behavior in others.
A leader is someone who is trying to help someone get to a place that they couldn’t get to by themselves.
In business, it can be a Manager, a Director, a VP, or C-Suite.
A Coach who is trying to rally his or her team.
A Professor or Teacher who is trying to get their messages to be memorable.
A Parent who is trying to teach life lessons to their children.
A Club leader whose goal is to engage.
Bottom line…anybody can be a leader. You don’t need a formal title to lead. If you care about others and you’re trying to help them maximize their real potential, then you are a leader.
