3. WHAT ARE SOME BEST PRACTICES TO IMPROVE MY RESULTS?

  • Put the leader on camera before the clip to build trust and show transparency.
  • If you are on camera, remember that shorter is always better. The best results are if you are on camera for less than 30 seconds.
  • Assume that the audience has never seen the movie before. Introduce the movie and the clip. Information about each is available under clip selection.
  • Be clear about what message you want your audience to focus on.
  • Send out clips at least once per week.
  • Use the subject line to drive interest and open rates, e.g. “See how courageous Tom Hanks is in Apollo 13.”
  • Change the leader on video once in a while.
  • Use an employee of the week/month to be the host.
  • Have a theme of the month and use our related themes.
  • Use the “Trimmer” to shorten the clips. Shorter is better.
  • Ask open ended questions to get the conversation started.
  • Use the advanced search options to narrow in on specific clips.
  • Send out clips based on the demographics of your viewers.

5. CAN I USE THE MOVIE CLIPS FOR A SPEECH OR TRAINING?

  • Yes. You can use our clips for a speech or training so long as you abide by our Terms of Service.

6. CAN MOVIECOMM BE USED OUTSIDE THE USA?

  • Yes! We have worldwide rights to the majority of our movie clip library.
  • There are geographic rights restrictions on about 15% of our library.
  • Upon selection of a clip, you will be able to see if your clip is available in your country.

7. CAN I USE THE CLIPS TO PROMOTE MY PRODUCT, SERVICE OR CAUSE?

  • No. Using clips to help promote or market your product, service or cause is strictly prohibited and is covered in our Terms of Service.
  • Violation of the TOS will result in the removal of the clip.

8. CAN I DOWNLOAD CLIPS?

  • No. By our content provider agreements, all clips must be streamed.
  • This helps to preserve the artistic integrity of the content and ensure compliance with our Terms of Service.

9. WHY NOT USE YOUTUBE?

  • The content on MovieComm is all legally approved. No copyright infringement issues/liability to worry about.
  • The content on MovieComm is always delivered ad free.
  • Searching for a specific clip, action, sentiment or word is much easier on MovieComm because of our AI curation.
  • With MovieComm you can customize the clip by adding video/text content before the clip, trimming the video and chatting at the end.

10. HOW DOES THE FREE VERSION WORK?

  • The trial gives you complete access to the entire Platform.
  • You can browse, create, preview and send out the clips that you create
  • There is a limit of 50 total views during the trial
  • Free access expires after 12 months is not renewable.

11. WHAT IS A VIEW?

  • A “view” is counted every time a clip is streamed through our Platform, in part or entirety.

12. WHAT IF THERE’S A MOVIE CLIP THAT I WANT THAT ISN’T PRESENTLY IN THE LIBRARY?

  • Let us know which movie clip you’d like, and we can let you know if and when and if that clip will be available.

13. HOW DOES THE SUBSCRIPTION BASED PRICING WORK?

  • Our subscriptions are based on the size of your audience, team, group, employees or students.
  • You can pay by month or receive a discount by paying annually.
  • When you select your plan, we assign you a year’s worth of views. You can use your allotment as you see fit.

14. WHAT DOES “A BEGINNING, A MIDDLE AND AN END” MEAN?

  • It means we have to “package” each clip; clips cannot be used as a “stand-alone.”
  • The “beginning” could be a still image of a theme, customized text, or a video of a leader speaking.
  • The “middle” is always the movie clip itself.
  • The “end” is usually an open or closed-ended question, something to ponder, or an action item.
  • This entire process is built into our platform in an easy to follow manner.

15. DOES THE DATABASE ONLY INCLUDE HOLLYWOOD MOVIES?

  • Yes. All of our clips are from Hollywood movies.
  • We are planning to add other compelling video content.
  • This could include: television, commercials, cartoons, sports, YouTube, and User Generated Content

16. IS YOUR VIDEO BUFFERING?

  • Try closing the clip (X out) and refresh the page on your browser.
  • Then go back to your account and select the clip.

17. WHAT DOES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING DO?

  • It provides our users with over 6 million searchable data points including:
  • Facial Recognition (ie. Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep)
  • Objects (ie. Basketball, Car, Sunglasses)
  • Actions (ie. Dancing, Fighting, Smiling)
  • Key word/phrase (ie. “Courage”) – Instantly find the moments when someone is saying “courage”.

18. ARE ALL OF THE MOVIE CLIPS CONSIDERED INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL?

  • About 30% of our clips have a motivational and inspirational theme.
  • The remainder incorporate life lessons, soft skills, grit, principles and values.

19. HOW NEW ARE THE MOVIES THAT ARE IN THE LIBRARY?

  • Over 85% of our library comes from movies that were released after 2005.
  • Approximately 15% are from 1980-2005.
  • Our library is constantly growing as new releases hit BluRay and Pay-Per-View.

20. I DID NOT RECEIVE MY VERIFICATION EMAIL

  • Check your spam/trash folders. In virtually all cases, you will find the email there. Simply click on the click to verify your email address.
  • If you call not find the Verification email, contact MovieComm at info@moviecomm.com and we will transmit to follow-up verification email.

21. WHAT ABOUT THE FAIR USE DOCTRINE?

  • Fair use is a legal concept that allows the reproduction of copyrighted material for certain purposes without obtaining permission and without paying a fee or royalty. Examples of fair use in United States copyright law include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody, news reporting, research, and scholarship. Typically, content used in a business, social or educational settings are not covered. With MovieComm you can be assured that all materials are 100% compliant.
